Where are your clothes made?
Our garments are exclusively made in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We work with a female-owned sewing factory, as well as other talented seamstresses to produce all of our clothing. Producing in small batches locally enables us to ensure that every piece is made ethically and to the highest standard, while also supporting several other small businesses. Many of our accessories and smaller items are handmade by yours truly.
What kind of fabric do you use?
We use only the softest natural fibers from select mills in the USA, Japan and occasionally China. Whenever possible we specify organic. While we wish all of our fabrics were made in the USA and 100% organic, it’s not always economically viable, especially for a company our size and the volumes we produce. Hopefully some day the textile industry in the U.S. will be more robust and sustainable.

What percentage of my purchase is donated?
We donate 25% of the purchase price of marked items. Look for the Do Good designation or shop the entire Do Good campaign.
What organization am I supporting?
We support organizations that encourage and empower independent young women. Issues that we believe in are STEM education, sports and physical fitness, mental health awareness, body positivity, creative arts and civic leadership. How can I DO more?
We’re so proud that you’re interested in going the extra miles to help support young girls. You can make an additional donation directly to our current designated charitable organization. Better still, you can get directly involved as a volunteer or mentor at one of the non-profit organization we support. You can learn more about past and present organizations here.
How do I care for my Sisterland piece?
Please refer to the care instruction label on the garment. Care instructions are also available on the product page. We recommend hand washing with a mild detergent whenever possible. Do not bleach. Cool iron as needed.
Can I machine wash my daughter’s dress/pants/top?
Yes, all of our pieces can be machine washed cold and tumbled dry, although we generally recommend hand washing to increase the longevity of the garment. Please refer to the care label or product page for complete instructions.
Do I have to do anything special for linen?
Natural fibers like linen tended to get softer and become more wrinkled in the dryer. If you want a crisper look, we recommend hang drying and ironing on low.
Placing an Order
Which size should I buy?
We do our best to be true to size. We also included complete measurements on the product page for each piece. Since the measurements are for the garments themselves, we recommend taking measurements of a similar item as reference. If you are still unsure, feel free to contact us and we’ll do our best to advise.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
At this time, we do not offer a gift wrapping option.
Do you sell gift cards?
Not currently. We hope to be able to offer gift cards in the near future.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards as well as PayPal and Apple Pay.
Can I use more than one discount code?
Unfortunately, only one code can be used per order.
I just made a purchase and now it is on sale. Can you apply the discount to my order?
We do not offer price adjustments once an order has been placed. In addition, we cannot apply a discount code for purchases made before or after a code is valid.
Do you ship to my country?
Currently, we only shipping to the US and Canada, but hope to make our products available to more countries in the near future. Thank you for your patience!
Do you offer free shipping?
We offer free Priority shipping on orders above $150 with the discount code SHIPSFREE150. Expedited shipping does not qualify for free shipping.
When will my order ship?
We generally ship within 1-2 business days of an order being placed. Total shipping time is dependent on the shipping method you choose, as well as your location. You can see our shipping options and complete shipping policies here.
Where is my order?
A tracking number will be emailed to you once your order ships. If you cannot find your tracking number, we’d be happy to assist if you contact us at email@example.com.
Sisterland is not responsible for any package that is lost or damaged once the package has been shipped. Lost or damaged packages must be reported to whichever carrier handled the delivery.
Can I return a product?
We gladly accept returns of unworn, unwashed merchandise in its original condition with tags attached within 14 days of the delivery date. Items marked as final sale or clearance are not eligible for return.
We recommend trying on all items before washing to ensure they fit. We cannot accept returns after items have been worn or washed.

Can I exchange a product?
Sisterland is unable to offer exchanges by mail. Instead, we recommend placing a new order for the desired items and returning eligible items for a refund.
How do I initiate a return?
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and reason for returning.
Who pays for return shipping?
Unfortunately, we are a small company and cannot offer free return shipping. In case of refund neither the original shipping cost nor the return shipping cost will be repaid.
How long does it take to process a return?
A refund will be applied via your original form of payment once the item has been returned in its original condition. Allow 1-7 business days for refund to post.
It’s been more than 14 days, can I still make a return?
As long as the the items meets our regular requirements and wasn’t purchased as final sale or clearance, we will accept a return within 30 days for a store credit.
I received a gift without a receipt, how do I make a return?
Please contact us at email@example.com with the name associated with the order and the order number (if known). The buyer will not be contacted; it will simply help us find the order and act as proof of purchase.
